Donations for Collection

SOFA Project couldn't do what it does without the donations it receives from the public so we are always grateful to hear from people. But before you ring us there are a couple of things you need to check:

1) Upholstered furniture must have passed 1988 fire safety standards. Please check that it has a label on it saying "carelessness causes fire." We cannot accept items that don't have this label.

2) Take a good look at the items you are thinking of donating. Could someone make use of the item, or is your donation beyond repair?

PLEASE NOTE: Due to staff shortages, our donation line is regrettably often unattended. Please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE BOOK UP TO A MONTH IN ADVANCE.

Unfortunately, due to the fuel price rises we have had to decrease our geographical coverage. Areas covered can be found on the list below. Collections from and deliveries to areas outside of these will incur an increased charge.

Electrical Items for Collection / Recycling

Through our subsidiary company REVAMP, we aim to re-use as much Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) as possible, since re-use brings many more environmental benefits than recycling. It also delivers social benefits for families unable to afford brand new electrical goods.

Void & Part Furniture Clearance

We can also help with void or part house furniture clearance in the Bristol area. We will collect bulk items such as fridges, freezers, wardrobes, beds and so on. We will recycle items and where possible reuse. Please contact 0117 954 3579 for details.
